Mr. Boban Kalapurackal elected as MCC General Convener

The first sitting of new Parish Committee held on 19.05.2017 has elected Mr. Boban Kalapurackal as General Convener.  The new committee will take over on 3rd July 2017

MCC Election 2017 declared

The Election to the MCC Parish Commitee 2017 - 2021 will be held on Sunday 30th April 2017 MCC Chaplain Pater Dr. Thomas Thandappilly formally announced the Election Notification today (19.02.2017) at the MCC Parish Church, Meidling after the holy mass.

MCC Parish Committee is constituted of the following members:

A).   Members to be elected from the following ten ecclesial regions/communities/reserved seats by the MCC Parish Community: 

 

1.    ERNAKULAM-ANGAMALY  Archepiscopal Region

(Diocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly, Idukki and Kothamangalam)

2.    CHANGANACHERRY Archepiscopal  Region

(Diocese of Changanacherry, Kanjirappily,Thackalai  and Palai)

3.    THRISSUR Archepiscopal  Region

(Diocese of Thrissur, Irinjalakkuda, Palakkad and Ramanathapuram)

4.    THALASSERY  Archepiscopal  Region

(Diocese of Thalassery, Mananthavady,Thamarassery, Belthangady, Badravathi and Mandya)

5.    KOTTAYAM  Archepiscopal Region

(Present Juridical Members of the Knanaya Catholic Community)

6.    SYRO MALANKARA Catholic Community

(Members of the Malankara Catholic Community)

7.    KERALA  LATIN Community

                  (Members of the Kerala Latin Catholic Community)

8.    RESERVED SEAT for Youth – Male

9.    RESERVED SEAT for Youth – Female

10.  RESERVED SEAT for Women / Mothers

 

B). Representatives from the Kairali Nikethan School and from the MCC Catechism Unit. One member each will be internally elected from these Units under the supervision of the Election Commission, and the validly elected members will be formally taken in the MCC Parish Committee with the approval of the MCC Chaplain as per Consti. Nr. 6. Kindly give the list of eligible voters of these MCC Units to the Convener of the Election Commission.

 

C). Members appointed by the MCC Chaplain if required. This can be a maximum number of three members.

 

D). Priests members of the MCC Parish Committee: MCC Chaplain, Assistant Chaplain and Spiritual Animator of the Syro Malankara Unit

 

The Election will be conducted by the newly constituted Election Commission, which includes the following members:
