General Discipline:
The „Kommunion Spendor“ service is a
special mandate from the Vienna Diocesan Bishop. The
members are given this special authority to serve only
within and for the Indian Catholic Community. The
service should be done with full dignity, loyal,
faithful and devotional to the Catholic Church and its
teachings.
Personal Requirements:
The members should make prior
devotional preparations of mind and body and clear
awareness of the service. Also, during the service,
members should make devotional concentration, silence
and peace. Active participation in the Holy Mass is a
highly recommended worthiness to the service of
„Kommunion Spendor“. The use of a white towel or purificator to hold the container (ciborium, chalice,
etc.) during the distribution of the Eucharist to the
people. It is required to wipe your fingers of the
hand, if they happen to touch the lips or tongue of the
receivers of the Holy Communion.
Personal Decorum:
Neat dress should be used during the
service. Highly recommended in Europe is an overcoat.
For ladies, thin and long white over-dress which covers
the head is needed according to the general discipline
of the Catholic Church. It can also be a white towel
which covers the head. A typically designated priestly
dress or a dress closely similar to priestly dress must
not be used by anyone who is not in priestly service.
Additional:
Each member should also be made
available to service during ICC’s main celebrations
namely Easter, Christmas etc. according to the advice of
the Liturgy Convener.
