There were 14 groups participated with enthusiasm in the competition that was organised by Indian Catholic Community Vienna on Sunday 11th Dec. 2011 at Maria Lourdes Church Meidling.  The Programme began with the welcome speech by Rev. P. Dr. Thomas Thandappilly, Chaplain of ICC.  ICC General Convener Mr. Joseph Olimalayil has conducted the draw to select the order of teams to be contested and announced their names.  The competition was conducted in three types: A Type Singing without any accompaniment. B Type singing with accompaniment of musical instruments and/or dramatic helps and C Type non competition model. The event provided an opportunity to people from different age groups of Juniors up to 14 years and Seniors above 14 years. 8 teams participated in the A-Type, 5 teams in the B-Type and 1 team in the C-Type programme.

A large number of people from different communities gathered at Maria Lourdes Church to witness the colourful event. The competition was held in a divinely atmosphere attracted by full of audience.  A Christmas message was given by Rev. P. Aji George, Asst. Chaplain, St. Mary's Syrian Malankara Orthodox Church, Vienna followed by an Ecumenical Prayer lead by Rev. P. Dr. Thomas Thandappilly, Chaplain, ICC Vienna

The winners in each group were given trophies in appreciation of their performance.  The prizes were declared by ICC General Convener Mr. Joseph Olimalyil and distributed by the ICC Asst. Chaplain Rev. P. Joy Plathottathil and Rev. P. Aji George.  Mr. Joseph Olimalayil thanked each and everyone for their full support and cooperation.
