Dear Members of the Syro Malabar Community Vienna:
Prayerful
Greetings to each one of you. I hope you are all healthy
and strong. I would like to bring to your attention the
following plan of the Liturgy of the Syro Malabar
Community Vienna, after 15th May, 2020 as per
the directives and guidelines of the Archdiocese of
Vienna.
In spite of
the present restrictions of the gatherings in our
Churches, we would like to offer to the members of the
Syro Malabar Community in Vienna, as many as possible
occasions for the Holy Mass on Saturdays and Sundays.
However the number of persons who are allowed to be
gathered in Maria Lourdes is a maximum of 60 and in
Saikogasse 8 Auferstehung Christi only 50. The
authorities have told us to make a list of the
participants of each of these Holy Masses, in order to
avoid unnecessary rush and confusion in the premises of
the Church. The following is the concrete Plan of the
SMC Holy Mass in our given centers:
In Maria Lourdes:
On Saturdays, Vorabendmesse – SMC Qurbana – at
19.30 hrs;
On Sundays SMC Qurbana at
12. 00 noon and SMC
Qurbana at 19. 00hrs.
The Qurbana at 12.00hrs on
Sundays in Maria Lourdes
will be exclusively for the Catechism Children from
Class 7 to 12 and for the Catechism Teachers of the Unit
of Maria Lourdes, and for the Youth
as per the availability of seats in the Church.
There will not be catechism classes.
There will
not be Mass on week days including Saturday morning in
Maria Lourdes till the end of this academic year.
In Saikogasse
: On
Saturdays, SMC Qurbana at 8.00
am;
On Sundays,
SMC Qurbana at 17.00hrs.
There will not be
catechism classes in Saikogasse 8 till the end of this
academic year.
The Churches
at Maria Lourdes and at Saikogasse 8 will be opened only
half an hour before the beginning of the Holy Mass
there. After the Qurbana the used seats and places in
the Churches must be disinfected. That will be arranged
by the SMC Mesners in both Maria Lourdes and in
Saikogasse 8.
All the
participants of the Holy Mass in the Churches must
wear a Mask
from the beginning to the end of their stay in
the Church.
The Holy
Masses on Saturdays and Sundays can be offered for the
intention of anybody who wants to do so; however the
intention and name of any person will not be announced
at the beginning of the Qurbana, especially on Sundays
and at the Vorabendmesse.
Those who
want to attend – only 55
participants - the Holy Mass in Maria Lourdes
either on Saturday at 19.30hrs or on Sunday at 19. 00hrs
may inform P. Thomas Thandappilly CST.
Those who
want to attend – only 45
participants - the Holy Mass in Saikogasse 8
either on Saturday at 8.00 hrs or on Sunday at 17.
00hrs may inform P. Wilson Mecheril MCBS.
This
registration can be done either by What`s up or by SMS,
in any case before
18.00hrs on 15th May 2020. P.

Only one
or two members from each SMC Family may register for the
Holy Mass at a particular time.
Preferably
one person from each family.
Kindly
inform of this Plan of the SMC Liturgy your family
members, friends and members of the SMC in Vienna.
Please note
that the main intention of the Holy Mass on Saturday 16th
May 2020 at 19.30 hrs in Maria Lourdes will be for the
departed Rev. Fr. Biji Markose Chirathalat, Ex-Pastor
of the St. Mary`s Orthodox Parish Vienna.
The main
intention of the Holy Mass on Sunday 17th May
2020 at 19.00hrs in Maria Lourdes will be for the
departed Mar Mathew Anikuzhikattil, Bishop Emeritus of
Idukki.
